Continental Infrastructure Group is seeking an experienced Field Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Equipment Division. Our mechanics play a critical role in keeping our operations moving by maintaining and repairing the equipment that builds infrastructure, utilities, marine projects, and mining operations throughout Southwest Florida.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy construction equipment in the field.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on a variety of equipment.
- Repair hydraulic, electrical, engine, drivetrain, brake, steering, and undercarriage systems.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns at active job sites.
- Complete inspections and identify potential mechanical issues before failures occur.
- Utilize diagnostic software and electronic service tools when applicable.
- Document repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used.
- Maintain service truck inventory and ensure tools and equipment remain organized.
- Communicate repair status with Equipment Management and field operations.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA/MSHA requirements.

What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
- Strong hydraulic, diesel engine, electrical, and drivetrain troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to diagnose equipment independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience reading service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes.
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
